This is a steel boat working through the winter in Behm Canal pot fishing for delicious spot prawns. The deckhand is setting the pots, and also on deck is the bait shed where the bait is taken from boxes and chopped before being put into jars inside the pots. The live prawns are then put in baskets to prevent overcrowding on the floor of the fish hold below.
The bait is proving irresistible not only to the prawns, but also to the seagulls, who are on the hunt for an easy winter meal.
The print is 16" wide by 13.5" high.
This piece is available in a limited edition of 500 prints.
